DeFined Empowerment’s purpose is to serve underrepresented young people ages 12-18 of underserved, disadvantaged communities; particularly, young men of color not desiring post-secondary education. DeFined Empowerment will provide opportunities for economic development. We will build a generation of people with the tenacity to change the trajectory of their lives and that of their families through job training, apprenticeship, and life skills. We will serve young generations while encouraging their growth to influence the next. Our organization will be a change agent that supports these communities to transform other communities. Our purpose is to serve.
DeFined Empowerment partners with business owners willing to offer job training opportunities such as welding, auto-body repair, aviation/piloting, carpentry, brick masonry, plumbing, and painting to name a few. We have partnered with social workers willing to support our youth with career-education mapping to position them in lost skills of their choice. Through compassionate understanding of the countless challenges faced by our youth, DeFined Empowerment seeks to educate our future leaders on how to transform their trials into triumphs and develop positive, effective, and influential voices. We provide young people with the skills and training needed to grow into self-sufficient entrepreneurs who can help to educate future generations while edifying and enriching the community.
We partner with mental health professionals to assist our young people with identifying the profound beauty of their voices, and the positive impact their voices have on transforming their thought processes and livelihood. Our vision is to expose the uniqueness of each person’s weaknesses to reveal their divine purpose! Understanding that your weakness is a strength.
